At Speaking Mortgages we are committed to making our site accessible to everyone. Our site has been built and tested to comply with WCAG 1.0 - LEVEL A of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

 

Cascading style sheets

Cascading style sheets (CSS) are used in this site to separate content from design. CSS contains style information for the entire web site positioning, layout, font, colours and style information.

Separating style from content makes it easy to access only the content of a web page. This ensures a better user experience for the visually disabled, as well as users using text-based browsers or screen reading technology.

CSS also reduces the size of the HTML files. The CSS file is downloaded just once by the visitor's browser and re-used for different pages on a web site. In doing this, we hope to provide an easier experience for users on slower connections.

Our content is laid out to ensure that all information and functionality is available whether CSS is used or not.
